What is Pilates?

It is a system of global physical training that "develops the body uniformly, corrects bad postures, restores physical vitality, stimulates the mind and elevates the spirit".

The Pilates method uses Fundamental principles based on breathing, concentration, centralization, control, precision and fluency.

Pilates is based on controlled and coordinated exercises with constant breathing, essential for fluid movement and the harmony of muscles. We flow from one movement to another working the correct execution, which provides flexibility and strength through control and precision improving not only the position but the spatial awareness to achieve greater efficiency in movements.

It is the center of power or generator of energy, is the area of the body that drives the movement. Located in the lower part of the trunk, it acts as a true natural strip of ten centimeters that surrounds the lumbar and abdominal area until the rib cage forwards, with fundamental reference to the transverse muscle of the abdomen whose activation must be present during the practice of all the exercises.
